StreamZen ("the Extension") is a free, open-source Chrome extension developed and maintained by Victhereum Technologies LTD ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension does and does not collect.

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. StreamZen operates entirely within your browser and does not transmit any personal information to our servers or any third party.

2. Data Stored Locally

StreamZen stores small pieces of data in your browser's local storage to improve your experience. This data never leaves your device:

• Cached IMDB IDs — When StreamZen resolves a movie or show title to its IMDB ID, the result is cached locally so it doesn't need to look it up again.
• Playback State — The Extension reads your browser's existing playback history (stored by the streaming site itself) to determine the current season and episode number.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for the relevant streaming site.

3. Third-Party API Requests

StreamZen makes requests to the following public, free APIs to provide its features:

• The Intro DB (theintrodb.org) — Used to fetch precise intro and credits timestamps for TV episodes. Only the IMDB ID, season number, and episode number are sent. No personal data is transmitted.
• Imdbot Search API (search.imdbot.workers.dev) — Used as a fallback to resolve a movie/show title to an IMDB ID when one cannot be found on the page. Only the title string is sent. No personal data is transmitted.

These requests are made directly from your browser. We do not proxy, log, or intercept any of these requests.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, StreamZen does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
• Your browsing history or watch history
• Your IP address
• Cookies or tracking pixels
• Analytics or telemetry data
• Any data to our own servers

5. Permissions

StreamZen requests only the minimum permissions required to function:

• Storage — Used to cache IMDB ID lookups locally in your browser.
• Host Permissions — Required to inject the content script on supported streaming sites (moviebox.ph, 123movienow.cc, netnaija.film, sflix.film, movieboxonline.net, moviebox.in, moviebox.pk, moviebox.id).

6. Children's Privacy

StreamZen does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. Since the Extension collects no personal data at all, there is no risk of children's data being processed.

StreamZen is fully open source. You can inspect the complete source code at any time on GitHub to verify these privacy claims.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
